HSL emerges L1 bidder to build 18 next gen patrol vessels for Coast Guards

Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Shipyard Limited Chairman and Managing Director Cmde Girideep Singh on Monday announced that HSL has emerged as the L1 bidder for the construction of 18 Next Generation Fast Patrol Vessels for theIndian Coast Guards.

At the Republic Day Parade after inspecting a guard of honour, he said this is not just a contract, but a statement of national confidence in HSL.

The CMD outlined HSL’s transformation journey, marked by strengthened governance, restored execution discipline, improved financial rigour, infrastructure modernisation, and system-driven decision-making.

Highlighting Atmanirbhar Bharat, he emphasised that HSL is playing a key role in India’s indigenous shipbuilding drive, contributing to the Navy’s expanding fleet and maritime self-reliance. In this context, he said the emergence as L1 bidder for the construction of a project to build fast patrol vessels is a shot in the arm.
